Jim Barrett, a Detroit-born artist now based in Livingston, Montana, received his undergraduate degree in Fine Art from Montana State University and has nearly four years of architectural training from the same institution.

His work, showcased in galleries across Montana and beyond, reflects his deep commitment to preserving the Yellowstone region, evident in his successful activism against the New World Mine project and his ongoing artistic exploration of the area’s natural beauty and ecological concerns.
